Steven Knight’s new noir thriller, Serenity, follows a fishing boat captain (Matthew McConaughey) whose quiet life is led astray when his ex-wife (Anne Hathaway) tracks him down and begs him to kill her new, violent husband. Ahead of its release this Friday, we spoke with Knight about the film, teaching Matthew McConaughey how to fish, and catching a 185-pound bluefin tuna together.
