According to The Wrap, Steven Spielberg’s remake of West Side Story has finished filling out its cast with “more than 50 actors, singers, and dancers” joining the brutal war between the Sharks and the Jets, including Ana Isabelle, Maddie Ziegler, and Dear Evan Hansen’s Mike Faist. They’ll be joining the already-impressive cast, which includes Rita Moreno, Ansel Elgort, newcomer Rachel Zegler, Ariana DeBose, David Alvarez, Corey Stoll, and Brian d’Arcy James. Spielberg is expected to begin filming West Side Story this summer, at which point it should fully divert his attention away from Indiana Jones 5. In other words, ever second he’s working on this is a second he’s not working on that, so let’s hope it’s a long and complex production. We don’t really need a new Indiana Jones that much, even if we don’t know anything about what Spielberg has in mind for it.
