Stevie Nicks reunites with her Coven in first look at American Horror Story: Apocalypse
After several uneven (to say the least) installments in his American Horror Story anthology series, it looks like Ryan Murphy is putting his best foot forward for the upcoming Murder House and Coven mashup. Titled Apocalypse, the eighth season of AHS reunites the good and very bad witches of the Coven outing, including Lily Rabe as Misty and Emma Roberts as Madison Montgomery. AHS all-stars Sarah Paulson, Jessica Lange, and Kathy Bates are also set to return, with Paulson reprising two of her previous supernatural roles in addition to playing a third, new character. Evan Peters will also be back, and while we don’t know much about his hairstylist character, we do know that Joan Collins is playing his grandmother, which bodes well for the show. So does this reunion photo that Murphy just posted to Twitter, which shows Stevie Nicks, the patron saint of dancing, shawl-wearing weirdos, hanging out with the Coven crew.
Nicks appeared in the season-three episode, “The Magical Delights Of Stevie Nicks,” where she played a witch who engaged in a twirl-off with Misty in between performances.
Gabourey Sidibe, who previously reprised her role of Queenie in AHS: Hotel, will also be back, along with Taissa Farmiga and Frances Conroy. Little is known about the plot for this crossover series, though executive producer Alexis Martin Woodall says the title is quite literal. “The story begins with the end of the world, and then our world begins,” Woodall told reporters at this summer’s Television Critics Association press tour.
