Stranger Things gets an ’80s sitcom make-over

Stranger Things is a lot of things: A superbly binge-able genre show, a pitch-perfect ’80s homage, and the Winona Ryder comeback we all deserve. But one thing it’s definitely not is a feel good sitcom. But that didn’t stop YouTube user Tim Bennett from editing it like one. Set—appropriately enough—to Randy Newman’s “Strange Things,” the video downplays the spooky aspects of the show to focus instead on its feel-good, family-friendly vibes.

While not-so-bad boyfriend Steve and unexpected cultural icon Barb don’t get their own title cards, the rest of the main cast each get a lighthearted moment to shine.
