Fans of Sons Of Anarchy should be familiar with the music of Bob Thiele—or with his aesthetic at least. Thiele was the show’s music supervisor and, together with his band, the Forest Rangers, sketched out the tunes for all seven of the show’s hit seasons. Now, the group is releasing its first album of all original material. Land Ho! Hits stores July 10 via InGrooves, and features guest contributions from The Kills’ Alison Mossheart and Sons star Katey Sagal, among others. Below, A.V. Club readers can get a glimpse of another star-studded track from the album as we premiere “Man In The Moment” featuring vocals from Amos Lee. Full of shadow and sadness, the track is almost as dark as anything that went down on Sons, though Lee’s clear vocals add a bittersweet note that’s actually quite lovely.
