As wary as we tend to be about reunions and post-reunion albums (sometimes with good reason), we liked Closer To Closed, the first new music from Illinois emo band Braid since 1998’s excellent Frame And Canvas. The EP came out in 2011 with no guarantee of more music to come, but next week, Braid re-emerges with a split EP with Pennsylvania emo band Balance And Composure ahead of a new full-length due out later this year.
No Sleep Records is releasing the album next week (preorder here), but today we’re happy to offer streams of the two Braid tracks on it, “Lux” and “Many Enemies.” One Bob, one Chris, both good. Take a listen.
