Streisand criticized for "absurd, shameful" ticket prices
Italian consumer groups blasted Barbra Streisand today and urged the city of Rome and the Italian Olympic Committee to cancel her upcoming concert because of excessive ticket prices. Streisand's European tour was scheduled to kick off with her first-ever concert in Italy at the Stadio Flaminio, with ticket prices ranging from $200 to $1200, which the Adusbef and Codacons groups called "absurd and shameful," adding that the Flaminio "is public property and cannot be used for immoral deals that are shameful to a civilized country."
