Variety is reporting that Idris Elba, known best around these parts as Stringer Bell from The Wire, will appear in six episodes of The Office. He'll reportedly play a new foil to Steve Carell's Michael Scott, a no-nonsense corporate type who values business over buffoonery (sound familiar?). After a couple of less-than-breakout film roles since his tenure on The Wire ended—Prom Night, The Unborn—Elba's return to television is a welcome one. His episodes will air later this season.
