Stuff we missed over the weekend

Singer-songwriter Lee Hazelwood's last album, 2006's Cake Or Death, approached his terminal cancer with a note of acceptance; Hazelwood died Saturday at age 78, leaving behind a strong solo discography, as well as the songs he wrote for others, most successfully Nancy Sinatra (including "These Boots Were Made For Walkin'"). In sympathy for those who must have more Futurama right goddamn now, Ain't It Cool News links to some preview video from Comic-Con. Straight-to-DVD movies extending the series will start coming out in November; those will be split up into new episodes to air on Comedy Central.
