Sub Pop announces lineup for its Silver Jubilee festival, confirms you are old now
As a reminder of how old you are, Sub Pop—the label that first gained prominence in the late '80s for signing a number of now-iconic grunge bands—is turning 25 years old. And to celebrate its silver jubilee, Sub Pop is holding a free festival on July 13 in Seattle’s up-and-coming (but still fittingly grungy) Georgetown neighborhood. The lineup so far runs the label’s stylistic and chronological gamut, from Shabazz Palaces to Father John Misty to Mudhoney. All proceeds from the suggested $5 donation at the door will benefit local charities. Check out the lineup as it currently stands and watch a few Sub Pop alumni announce the festival below.
