NME is reporting that beloved weirdo Icelandic band The Sugarcubes is reuniting for a one-off show in Iceland this November. Weirdo vocalist Bjork, whose fame as a solo artist has far surpassed the 'cubes' notoriety, will join her old band for the performance.
The occasion? The 20th birthday of the band's debut single, um, "Birthday." Proceeds from the concert are apparently going to charity, something called Smekkleysa SM, which helps Icelandic artists.
If you've got some frequent-flyer miles burning a hole in your pocket, jet to Reykjavik for the Nov. 17 show. You can currently catch The Sugarcubes' other vocalist, Einar Örn, on tour with his industrial band, Ghostigital. He's on the road right now with The Melvins.
