Suge Knight indicted for allegedly texting death threat to Straight Outta Compton director
Suge Knight has just added another date to his already packed legal slate, with Pitchfork reporting that the Death Row Records co-founder has been indicted for allegedly threatening the life of Straight Outta Compton director F. Gary Gray. Per TMZ, the L.A. Grand Jury has indicted Knight for the events of August 8, 2014, when he allegedly “threatened to commit a crime which would result in death and great bodily injury to Felix Gary Gray.”
Knight is currently in jail, awaiting his trial for the death of Terry Carter, who was involved in the production of the NWA biopic, and who Knight is accused of killing in a hit-and-run incident. Knight’s threat to Gray supposedly came through text, and was presumably in relation to his negative portrayal in the film. Meanwhile, Knight has stated that his human rights are being violated in prison, and accused Dr. Dre of sending a hitman to kill him while he’s in jail.
