Suicide Squad’s extended cut trailer teases the Jared Leto scenes we didn’t see
We’re a few movies into DC’s very own cinematic universe, and though the films have been financially successful across the board, critics have generally knocked them for being, you know, not good. Warners Bros.’ tactic to fix that seems to be to make the movies longer for their home video releases, which is what it did for Batman V Superman earlier this year. An extended cut of Suicide Squad is set to be released on December 13, with some theorizing that it will restore some of the ostensibly amazing scenes of Jared Leto’s Joker that were left out of the theatrical cut. This trailer for that extended cut doesn’t explicitly say “Now with more Joker,” but he and Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn do seem to be the stars this time around.
The Suicide Squad extended cut will be available digitally on November 15 and on Blu-ray on December 13.
