As Super Bowl halftime shows go, one must admit the last few have boasted pretty solid headliners: Prince, The Rolling Stones, and Paul McCartney. Time to get kinda-lame again: Idolator relays the news that the Eagles are in final negotiations for the coming Bowl. Alright, fuck it, I'll say it: They've got some solid songs behind them, about enough to make up for them being, well, the Eagles, but neither "Take It Easy" nor "Hotel California" are exactly the kind of rousing anthems we need to power us through the bracing second half. Maybe some "Life In The Fast Lane" is in order, but that one gets pretty annoying after a while.
