“Supercats!” is a supercut of cats in movies. Great movies, like Alien and Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and bad movies, like every movie featuring a talking animal ever made. “Supercats!” features the cats of the silver screen that love, that maul, that get embroiled in cartoonish contretemps, and that spite their masters with calculated indifference. Their range, their flexibility, and their poise, creator Ariel Belziti seems to argue, add the necessary je ne sais quoi to make a film truly memorable. Like this:
Or, it’s just a bunch of cats in a bunch of movies, created because the Internet demands its tribute of regular cat-themed videos in order to continue. Who’s to say?
