Supernatural is doing a Scooby-Doo crossover
Even though it’s been on for about 90 seasons, The CW’s Supernatural still wasn’t allowed to take part in the network’s four-show “Invasion!” crossover event last year. So, to make up for that, Supernatural is doing a big crossover event of its own—though this one actually has nothing to do with the other shows on The CW. As reported by The Wrap, Supernatural will be doing a fully animated Scooby-Doo episode next season, and it will involve the Winchester brothers teaming up with Scooby himself to stop some kind of Supernatural crisis. We don’t have many details beyond that, including whether or not the villain will end up being a man in a rubber mask trying to manipulate property values or whatever, but The Wrap did at least get confirmation from The CW that the crossover is a real thing that’s going to happen and not just a wacky dream.
We don’t know if any other characters from the Scooby-Doo universe will show up, but it would be a little weird to have a talking dog hanging around without his stoner buddy.
