Surprise birthday idea: Hire an orchestra to play the Curb Your Enthusiasm theme

In the third episode of season two of HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm, Larry David hires a chamber orchestra to gently wake his wife on the morning of her birthday. It’s one of Larry’s more romantic gestures on the show, even if his best friend shows up to play golf halfway through the performance.

Rapper Logic (whose real name is seriously Sir Robert Bryson Hall II) is clearly a fan, as he pulled a similar stunt for his wife this past weekend. Instead of Wagner, however, the musicians play a chamber version of Curb Your Enthusiasm’s impish theme song. Meanwhile, Logic bounds to and fro in a Seinfeld shirt. Watch the whole thing below.

It didn’t end there, however. Afterwards, the orchestra serenaded them with music that’s decidedly less womp-womp.

He’s earned a few Larry David-esque fuck-ups after this one.
