Syd Barrett's doo-dads, art up for auction, browsable online

An art charity will benefit from an auction of the late Syd Barrett's belongings in Cambridge, England, on Wednesday, British publications are reporting. Barrett was an art-school student before he formed Pink Floyd, and after he left the band and dropped into isolation, he continued to paint. He was known to destroy paintings after finishing them, but a few remain, and they'll be auctioned alongside Barrett's bicycles and furniture (much of which Barrett apparently re-painted and customized). In fact, you can view the whole stash here (click on the Section menu and select "The Estate of the late Syd Barrett"), as creepy and depressing as that might be for fans.
