Syfy asks the Internet to pick the sequel title for Sharknado since it's already been doing that

As threatened by the rumbling of shark-pun-filled thunder last week—and in spite of the relatively minor shark-drizzle that was its actual landfall—Sharknado is getting a sequel, owing to its online popularity and the fact that Syfy was going to make another thing with a shark in it anyway. Might as well be something people have already heard of, like a tornado. The 90-minute meme is slated for 2014, and while even Syfy is as yet unsure whether it will be an actual sequel, in which the nation once again fails to adequately prepare for another sharknado, probably because of the naïve belief that sharknados never strike twice and also #FEMA #conspiracy #infowars. Or, perhaps a prequel, perhaps telling the story of the many sharknadoes that so ravaged the Dust Bowl of the 1930s, based on the novel by John Steinbeck.

Whatever the premise is that actually doesn’t matter, what is known is that the next Sharknado will make a stop in New York City—because if you can make it there, you can make it through a shark-filled tornado. (And hey, it’s not nearly as bad as [FILL IN NAME OF SUBWAY LINE THAT IS TYPICALLY UNCOMFORTABLE], right New Yorkers?) And, most importantly, Syfy is turning to Twitter to help give the sequel its subtitle, because this is what Twitter has been doing anyway, since approximately five minutes into the first one. So go ahead. Sharknado 2: Armed And Sharkulous. Sharknado 2: The Sharkening. Sharknado 2: The Legend Of Curly’s Sharknado. Sharknado 2: I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Sharknado. Sharknado 2: Shark Nadoier. Sharknado Ever After. Sharkna-Dos. Get it out of your system.
