Sylvester Stallone's cockiness knows no bounds

While he may have suffered the indignity of seeing his Rambo reboot take second place to brainless bricolage Meet The Spartans at the box office, Sylvester Stallone is doing just fine, thanks, having just inked a "lucrative" deal with Nu Image/Millennium to direct and star in two more action films beginning production as early as this fall. We'll leave it to you to make the requisite Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot…Again! and Cobra 2: Cobra-ier sequel jokes (well, except for those)—although, according to an interview with Reuters, the 61-year-old star is indeed "gearing up" for yet another Rambo entry. Emboldened by his newly recaptured "player" status, Stallone is taking on more than just the critics who once dismissed him as a washout: He's also thrown down the gauntlet on the whole damn Myanmar military government, who have banned his latest film as propaganda and thus made it a bootleg hit among local rebels who have "gone crazy" over the hero's credo, "Live for nothing. Die for something." Over the weekend, Stallone even challenged the country's officials to a personal tete-a-tete, saying:

"Why don't you invite me over? Let me take a tour of your country without someone pointing a gun at my head and we'll show you where all the bodies are buried. Or let's go debate in Washington in front of a congressional hearing."

Yes, let's! We're sure that would be edifying and not pointlessly ego-stroking in the least. Now get back to blowing shit up for this kid:
