Fans of The Julie Ruin and the comedy stylings of Bridget Everett And The Tender Moments might already be familiar with Carmine Covelli, drummer for both badass bands. Now Covelli is expanding even further into the comedy world with People Are Detectives, a new web series launching July 16. Below, The A.V. Club has an exclusive first look at the series, which stars Covelli and Neal Medlyn as a couple of detectives essentially trapped together on frequent stakeouts, forced to interact and co-exist in a mid-sized sedan.
The series’ first episode, “Horse Porn,” will be on the People Are Detectives site next Thursday.
