Take me down to the very Weird City

Take me down to the very Weird City

Here’s what’s happening in the world of television for Wednesday, February 13. All times are Eastern.

Top pick

Weird City (YouTube, 3:01 a.m., complete first season): One of the many, many, many Jordan Peele projects out there takes its bow in the wee small hours of this morning. Weird City sounds, to grossly oversimplify, like the answer to a question we never even dreamed to ask: “What if Blade Runner was Black Mirror, but goofy—like, intentionally goofy?”

The anthology series, “told through the prism of sci-fi and comedy,” will cover issues relevant to life today. Also relevant to life today: Alex McLevy’s review, which you’ll find on the site soon.

Regular coverage

You’re The Worst (FXX, 10 p.m.)
Deadly Class (Syfy, 10 p.m.)

Wild card

Smithsonian Special: Amazing Pigs (Smithsonian, 8 p.m.): There are people who read a title like Amazing Pigs and think, “Ugh, no, sounds terrible,” and then there are the rest of us. Will we sit through all of Amazing Pigs? Unclear. Depends on the amazingness of the pigs. Will we tune in to see how amazing the pigs actually are? You bet your boots we will.
