Okay, I guess it's less a remake of David Lynch's film than an entirely new thing… Anyway, Pierre Morel, director of the so-bad-it's-bad supersmash Taken will direct the upcoming film version of Frank Herbert's bestselling novel Dune, according to The Guardian. This new version was to be directed by Peter Berg, which leads to the most amazing sentence in the Guardian piece: "Berg, of Hancock fame, was previously set to direct, but has decided to work on the forthcoming adaptation of board game Battleship instead." What Berg doesn't realize is that the definitive film version of Battleship was already made. See below.
