Tammy Faye Bakker, the '80s televangelist and heavily made-up wife of disgraced minister Jim Bakker, has died of cancer at age 65. Here is a fitting epitaph: "Television," she once remarked, "likes people like me who dare to look straight into the camera and will hold nothing back. Nobody is supposed to cry on TV – you're supposed to be perfect. But when I do it, people believe in the reality of it and tell me, 'I cry with you'."
