Tarantino, Anderson film from different angles, provide balance to the cinematic universe
The law of inertia states that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Such is also true of the cinematic work of certain auteurs. Or supercuts of said auteurs' work, anyway. Case in point, a current video making the rounds that celebrates Quentin Tarantino's love of shooting things from an angle down below, looking up at his subjects in awe, usually before something really violent happens. It's a perfect balance to another video that made the rounds recently of Wes Anderson's fancy pants birds-eye-view angles, looking down on his twee subjects like an omniscient god of quirk. Meanwhile, Anderson has done commercials for the likes of AT&T, American Express, and now Hyundai while Tarantino appeared in a weird Japanese commercial with a talking dog. See? The universe balances itself.
