Taylor Lautner to star in Scream Queens’ second season
Taylor Lautner was easily the most ab-having of the kids in those Twilight movies, but other than a role on BBC’s Cuckoo alongside Andy Samberg and a bit in The Ridiculous Six, he hasn’t been in very many things post-Twilight. That might be changing, though, as Deadline is reporting that Lautner has just joined the cast of Fox’s Scream Queens, the horror/comedy series created by Glee masterminds Brad Falchuk, Ryan Murphy, and Ian Brennan.
Season two of Scream Queens will be leaving the sorority setting of season one in favor of a spooky hospital, and Lautner will reportedly be playing Cassidy Cascade, a doctor “who suffers from a strange medical condition.” Apparently, he’ll become a suspect “when a series of tragic events plagues the institution,” which makes us think he’ll probably be playing a werewolf again. Now, we don’t want to assume that Lautner is being typecast, but there are only a few strange medical conditions that automatically make you a suspect when tragic things start happening, and lycanthropy is the most exciting one. Also, Dr. Cassidy Cascade is a ridiculous name.
Lautner will be appearing alongside fellow newcomer John Stamos in season two of Scream Queens, along with returning stars Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Keke Palmer, and Jamie Lee Curtis.
