YouTube user House of Halo is hellbent on showing how ridiculous, bizarre, and/or unsettling big, glossy pop videos are sans music. (Exhibit A: Pharrell’s tune-less “Happy” is anything but.) The newest addition to the channel’s silent canon is Taylor Swift’s assassin-studded “Bad Blood,” which now comes off like a giant bloodbath instead of a gathering of ladies kicking ass in the name of friendship. In fact, the truncated clip feels like it takes place in a training facility for violent sociopaths, where the martial arts and weaponry on display is all preparation for a post-apocalyptic world where anarchy reigns supreme. Watch and marvel as Swift’s dark side becomes eminently clear.
