The moody music video for Taylor Swift’s “Style” is at such odds with the song’s flirty energy that fans are already re-editing it to go with pretty much any other track from 1989. But it turns out the video works best paired not with another Swift song, but with the atmospheric music of the eerily similar True Detective intro. The YouTube channel Scotch Moses released a pretty fantastic mash-up of Swift’s visuals and the show’s music while the original True Detective intro is also below for comparison. Those still on the hunt for the Yellow King can assume this means time is a flat circle and Taylor Swift is actually Rusty Cohle reincarnated. Or maybe this is just her subtle attempt to launch a #TrueDetectiveSeason3 campaign.
