TBS recruits Daniel Radcliffe and Owen Wilson for anthology comedy series
In a move that harkens back to its very funny days, TBS has just announced a new comedy anthology series from executive producers Lorne Michaels and Simon Rich. The series, Miracle Workers, has already landed two big names for its inaugural outing: Daniel Radcliffe and Owen Wilson will lead the cast for the first seven episodes. The first season will be a workplace comedy set in Heaven, where Wilson will play God, who’s kind of over the whole All-Father thing, preferring to focus on his “hobbies.” Radcliffe, meanwhile, will play Craig, a “low level angel,” who‘s had to pick up God’s slack and answer humanity’s prayers. He’ll be faced with performing his greatest miracle when it looks like Earth’s destruction is imminent.
Rich, who’s serving as showrunner in addition to executive producing, is adapting his book What In God’s Name for the series. His FXX series, Man Seeking Woman, wrapped after three seasons earlier this year. Miracle Workers will debut in 2018,
