TBS renews The Pete Holmes Show for an additional 13 weeks
Get ready for more exit interviews with X-Men characters: Variety reports that TBS has ordered another 13 weeks of the half-hour late-night talk show approximation The Pete Holmes Show. The next round of episodes is set to begin on February 24 (the same night that Jimmy Fallon debuts as the new host of The Tonight Show). Holmes’ show has aired 28 episodes since its premiere in late October, averaging around half-a-million viewers. TBS will extend the run of Holmes' playing the tall, gawky complement to Conan O’Brien while primarily playing host to fellow standup comedians—from Anthony Jeselnik and John Mulaney to Tig Notaro and Chelsea Peretti—all met with a lightly conversational earnestness. And with this extended stay beginning right after the Winter Olympics, hopefully Holmes can rack up even more awkward talks with famous athletes.
