Tears For Fears covered Arcade Fire's "Ready To Start"

Continuing the pattern of unexpected yet killer covers, Tears For Fears recently released their own version of Arcade Fire's Suburbs single, "Ready To Start." The production value is great, and sounds a lot more relevant than one may expect from the iconic New Wave duo. It's solid.

According to Tears For Fears' website, "Having appreciated artists like Kanye West, Katy Perry, Kimbra, Nas, Gary Jules/Michael Andrews, Adam Lambert and Dizzee Rascal covering and sampling our songs over the past years, we agreed that some reciprocal cross-generational love was in order."

Tears For Fears is apparently working on a follow-up to 2004's Everybody Loves A Happy Ending, and this cover is the first anyone has heard of the band since then. Arcade Fire is also poised to release a new album—which may or may not be titled Reflektor—Oct. 29.
