Teen Wolf brings the pack together for summer finale
Here’s what’s up in the world of TV for Monday, August 24. All times are Eastern.
Top pick
Teen Wolf (MTV, 10 p.m.)/Wolf Watch (MTV, 11 p.m.): In the summer finale, Scott and the pack face what TV Guide describes as their biggest threat yet, but we can guarantee you that come the next Teen Wolf finale, there will be an even bigger, badder threat, because that’s how these things tend to work. And after the finale, you can stick around for Wolf Watch, on which Tyler Posey and fellow castmates Holland Roden, Shelley Hennig, Dylan Sprayberry, and Cody Christian discuss everything you just saw. DJ Alex Gaskarth from All Time Low also weighs in. Sure. In related and incredibly important news, the phrase “wolf poop has officially hit the fan” is used on the MTV website in a description of the season.
Regular coverage
WWE Monday Night Raw (USA, 8 p.m.)
Gravity Falls (Disney XD, 8:30 p.m.)
Also noted
Significant Mother (The CW, 9:30 p.m.): Because he can’t seem to do anything right, Nate accidentally eats some pot gummy bears before an interview with a major food blogger (major food bloggers are very big deals in the world of Significant Mother). Lydia, Jimmy, Harrison, and Sam have to cover for him.
So You Think You Can Dance (Fox, 8 p.m.): It’s down to the top eight, and two more are going to get cut, because not everyone who thinks they can dance can actually dance as well as other people who think they can dance.
What else is on?
Bachelor In Paradise (ABC, 8 p.m.): Joe wants to make it very clear that he is not the villain, so he blackmails Samantha by threatening to expose her lies, which definitely doesn’t sound like something a villain would do.
Bachelor In Paradise: After Paradise (ABC, 9 p.m.): In the debrief, Samantha is like “what the fuck, Joe?”…we presume.
American Ninja Warrior (NBC, 8 p.m.): It’s time for American Ninja Warrior to do that episode every reality television does eventually where they just air clips from previous episodes.
Wreck-It Ralph (Disney XD, 6:15): This movie is so good it will make you wish you lived inside of an arcade game. And it’s getting a sequel!
X2: X-Men United (Starz, 6:40 p.m.): Which X-Men movie is your favorite X-Men movie? They’re all egregiously unfaithful to the comics, but assuming you’re not a purist, the second movie is probably the right answer.
Monday Night Football: Preseason: Bengals at Buccaneers (ESPN, 8 p.m.): Get your preseason fix in, if that’s your kind of thing.
In case you missed it
Fear The Walking Dead: The Top Pick of Caroline Framke’s final What’s On Tonight—which was somehow strange, nostalgic, dark, ominous, and fun all at once—premiered, and Josh Modell will tell you how to feel about it.
