Teen Wolf heads into senior year
Here’s what’s up in the world of TV for Monday, June 29. All times are Eastern.
Top pick
Teen Wolf (MTV, 10 p.m.): Teen Wolf kicks off its fifth season with part one of a two-night event. “Creatures Of The Night” opens at the start of senior year. Scott and his pack have to deal with two unexpected arrivals: a new enemy and an old friend. Yep, it’s senior year on Teen Wolf, and there are a lot more problems the pack is going to have to face on top of senior prom! LaToya Ferguson is back on the Teen Wolf beat, so check back here at TV Club after the premiere.
Regular coverage
WWE Monday Night Raw (USA, 8 p.m.)
Also noted
Odd Mom Out (Bravo, 10 p.m.): TV Club will start covering Odd Mom Out tonight, with Alexa Planje stepping up to the plate.
Elsewhere in TV Club
The A.V. Club spoke with Kumail Nanjiani and Jonah Ray, the bff co-hosts of The Meltdown Show With Jonah And Kumail, which returns to Comedy Central tomorrow. Also, Caroline Siede tells you why you should watch the Tour De France this year.
What else is on?
So You Think You Can Dance (Fox, 8 p.m.): The first round of auditions has come to a close, and it’s time for callbacks! Contestants head to Las Vegas for this next round.
The Bachelorette (ABC, 8 p.m.): Has anyone thought to interrogate Kaitlyn as to why she has birds tattooed on her body if she has an extreme phobia of birds? The bachelors are too busy traveling to Killarney, Ireland with Kaitlyn this week to stop and contemplate this!
The Fosters (ABC Family 8 p.m.): An LGBTQ prom is happening on The Fosters, and Cole extends invites to Callie, Jude, and Connor.
American Ninja Warrior (NBC, 8 p.m.): It’s yet another qualifying round. Tonight, the American Ninja Warrior course sets up shop in Pittsburgh.
The Island (NBC, 10 p.m.): This episode is called “Anything Can Happen,” so maybe something interesting will happen? But probably not. There’s not a lot to work with when the premise of your show is “men on an island.”
Edge Of Tomorrow (HBO, 7 p.m.): Tom Cruise, who? This movie is all about Emily Blunt, and we won’t hear otherwise.
The Terminator (Reelz, 8 p.m.): We have our doubts about the upcoming reboot-sequel, and even though the original isn’t as good as T2, now seems like a good time to return to the beginning of the Terminator franchise.
MLB Baseball: Rangers at Orioles (ESPN, 7 p.m.): Texas faces Baltimore in their first 2015 meeting.
In case you missed it
Penny Dreadful: Eva Green is still perfect, and you should be watching this show.
