Tenacious D is going on a U.S. tour for the first time in 5 years
We’re still not entirely convinced that a new Tenacious D movie is ever going to happen, despite what Jack Black promised at a show in George earlier this month, but band itself is getting back out there at least with its first U.S. tour in five years. Black and Kyle Gass have also teased that a new album is in the works, with a press release saying that it will be released in 2018 “…probably.” The tour is relatively short and mostly centers on the east coast, but at least we can all enjoy the possibility of a new album coming at some point. Also, we can all appreciate this high-quality and expertly animated tour announcement video, which features Black and Gass on a road trip while singing a few lines from a Backstreet Boys song:
