Terminator: Genisys “Paradox Edition” mocks the head-scratching premise of the film

Nearly all time travel movies demand a certain degree of willingness to not overthink the paradoxical narrative implications of toying with time, agree to roll with whatever rules the film might have laid out, and enjoy the ride. The problem with a time travel series of films is that with each passing entry, the rules have to either change, be ignored, or become too convoluted to make for an enjoyable narrative (though an individual’s mileage may vary on that front). Because if you think too hard about the implications of the events in, say, the Terminator franchise, resistance leader John Connor suddenly seems less like a revolutionary and more like a crazy guy really hellbent on sending tons of deadly robots back into the past, as this new “Paradox Edition” edit for the Terminator: Genisys trailer from Auralnauts shows.
