Terrence Howard and Melissa Leo join M. Night Shyamalan's Wayward Pines
Wayward Pines, Fox's based-on-a-book-that-was-based-on-Twin–Peaks series from M. Night Shyamalan, is rounding out its cast. Terrence Howard and Melissa Leo have both signed on to join Matt Dillon and Carla Gugino in the 10-episode miniseries that will air next year.
Leo reportedly plays an "intense, unpredictable" nurse who cares for Dillon's Secret Service agent, but soon turns into a potentially deadly foe. Howard will play the town sheriff who butts heads with Dillon, after he comes to town to investigate the disappearance of two fellow agents. As sheriff, Howard will presumably be the one to warn the citizens of Wayward Pines that "there appears to be an event happening," before people start dying at the hands of those deadly, deadly pines.
