Terry Gilliam to direct Arcade Fire webcast

Expectations are already sky-high for the Arcade Fire’s Madison Square Garden debut on August 5, so hey, why not add the King Midas touch of Terry Gilliam to the mix? According to an AP report, the unluckiest director in the biz will helm a webcast of the show for live streaming on YouTube, which should eliminate any chance that it will end up wildly over budget and delayed for 10 years. (Presumably.) It’s part of the same “Unstaged” concert series that recently paired The National with director D.A. Pennebaker. Can we get Grizzly Bear and Werner Herzog together next?
