Texts From Last Night to become a television show
Proving once again that a television show can be made about just about anything, Variety reports that Texts From Last Night, the popular website compiling the zany text messages of the drunken and debauched, will be adapted for the small screen by Big Bang Theory writer "Non Savage" Steve Holland for Adam Sandler's Happy Madison production company.
According to the article, Holland "will loosely base the show's characters and plot on the whole idea of racy — and sometimes embarrassing — communication, particularly among the twentysomething set."
Just imagine the possibilities! Here's what we imagine a typical exchange will look like:
Telegenic representative of the twentysomething set: Oh man! I just sent out a racy—and sometimes embarrassing—text message while drunk last night! It involved my penis and boobs and casual sex and quite possibly the show Gossip Girl!
Other Telegenic representative of the twentysomething set: You do that all the time. As do I. Communication sure is zany, especially where drunken, telegenic, text-savvy twentysomethings are concerned.
The website also recently inked a book deal with Penguin. I'm not exactly sure why, but I blame Tucker Max for this. This sounds super-duper-double sketch to us yet we remain, as always, cautiously optimistic.
