Texts From Star Trek: The Next Generation is actually pretty funny

The Texts From Last Night craze feels so 2010, but one Tumblr user has found a way to make the concept seem fresh again—by updating it to the 24th century. “Texts from Star Trek: The Next Generation” pairs perfectly chosen stills from the sci-fi TV show with regretful text messages. While plenty of genre shows have gotten their own TFLN make-overs, the family-friendly vibe of the Next Gen makes for a particularly funny kind of dissonance when paired with texts about farting, buying Miller Lite, and “laying pipe.” Not to mention the site is original-cast approved: Wil Wheaton (Wesley Crusher himself) called it “brilliant.” Wired has a best-of gallery, or check out some of our favorites below.
