That Fantastic Four reboot has a script, now just needs a cast
Fox’s reboot of the Fantastic Four franchise now has a completed script from writer Simon Kinberg, so director Josh Trank has begun screen testing to put together a cast. Miles Teller (who's ale being courted for the Dan Aykroyd role in the John Belushi biopic) spoke at Sundance earlier this week about his upcoming audition for Mr. Fantastic/Reed Richards. Meanwhile, Variety confirms those earlier reports that Game Of Thrones star Kit Harington is up for Richards and that Kate Mara and Saoirse Ronan are up for Sue Storm, adding Harington's Thrones co-star Richard Madden to the Mr. Fantastic mix. Meanwhile, Michael B. Jordan is ostensibly attached as Johnny Storm, though that still hasn’t been officially announced.
According to Variety , Jordan is the only certainty, and all the other actors will test around him to figure out who has the best chemistry. Fox will look to avoid the casting carousel of the 2005 film, when the studio went after a bunch of big names, only to end up with their second or third choices. Fantastic Four is currently scheduled for a June 2015 release.
