Pixar has announced that its upcoming, late-2012 Monsters Inc. sequel—which the company announced nearly a year ago, well before Toy Story 3 proved that the Pixar sequels could not only make bank, but also make Oscars—will actually be a Monsters Inc. prequel. Titled Monsters University, it will take Billy Crystal’s Mike and John Goodman’s Sulley back to college, where the two burgeoning friends first learned their trade, as well as the crushing reality of the limited monster job market. Still, that's nothing compared to what today's monster graduates face. It's no wonder so many young monsters end up working unpaid monster internships with no hope of advancement, living at home with their monster parents while working menial monster service jobs, and spending their spare time fruitlessly checking Monster.com. Eh? Eh? Adorable.
