That movie where Christian Bale plays Moses also has Aaron Paul as Joshua
As prophesied by the casting of Christian Bale and Joel Edgerton as Moses and Ramses, respectively—and the casting of stones by ye who have not put Welsh and Australian actors as the leads in their biblical epics—Ridley Scott’s Exodus has continued to wander the desert, looking to see if maybe it has room for some more incredibly white people. And so it came to pass that Aaron Paul was cast as Joshua, going from playing Walter White’s assistant on Breaking Bad to being Moses’ assistant in the equally popular The Bible, and taking on the role of the Hebrew slave who goes on to lead the Israelites into Canaan. (“Yeah, bitch! Manna!” — Joshua 5:12) Anyway, Variety reports that Sigourney Weaver and John Turturro are also now attached to play the parents to Joel Edgerton’s Pharoah, for through the Lord anything is possible.
