Next year’s Kristen Stewart-starring Snow White And The Huntsman was recently proclaimed to be the first film in a trilogy, a daring assertion based almost entirely on its solid dwarf roster, we assume. That bold move in the ongoing Snow White reboot brinksmanship has yet to be matched by its Tarsem Singh-directed, Julia Roberts-starring competition—a movie already so cowed, it hasn’t even bothered picking a title yet. However, the film has now pulled off the impressive Sean Bean gambit. The Lord Of The Rings and Game Of Thrones actor whose mere presence ups the “epic” quotient of anything—even a bar fight—is in final negotiations to play Snow White’s father in the Relativity-backed production, so it at least has that going for it. Although, based on the Sean Bean highlight reel below, they may as well come right out and say that in this version, Snow White’s father will die.
