The A.V. Club live, in person, this week (plus Chuck Klosterman, and a Humpday screening)

Lots of exciting events to tell you about this week, people, so I'll go slowly.

First off, tonight (or rather late this afternoon?) at 5:30pm, our own Nathan Rabin will make another local bookstore appearance to pimp his bad-ass memoir, The Big Rewind. But oh, it's not just Nathan today: Also appearing will be Chuck Klosterman, in town to promote the paperback version of his debut novel, Downtown Owl. Also on the bill: Chicago Tribune music critic (and Sound Opinions co-host) Greg Kot, who recently released another book of his own, Ripped: How The Wired Generation Revolutionized Music. That's three for the price of none! (Because, umm, it's free!) It all goes down at 5:30pm at the DePaul Center Barnes & Noble, 1 E. Jackson Blvd. in downtown Chicago.

But don't spend all of your excitement tonight, because tomorrow you might be joining us for a screening of In The Loop, introduced by our own Scott Tobias and featuring a post-screening Q&A with actor David "Sledge Hammer!" Rasche. If you didn't get an e-mail confirming your tickets, then you're probably screwed, but if you really, really, really want to come, send us another e-mail today and we'll pick a few more people.

Finally, we just got wise to a screening of the critically beloved Humpday this Thursday, July 23. It looks pretty great, and you can't beat the price. It's not us giving away these tickets, but the studio is holding some for A.V. Club readers. Send an e-mail here, and make sure you put A.V. CLUB in the subject line. I'm not actually sure where the screening for this one is, but it's probably safe to assume it's at Landmark or River East, right? Right. Here's a trailer.
