The Allman Brothers Band is calling it quits

The Allman Brothers Band will play its final concerts ever this October. The group’s two final shows will be Oct. 27 and 28 at the Beacon Theater in New York City, a venue the band has played literally 232 times since 1989. The group will play four other nights at the Beacon prior to those two shows, and has a couple of other upcoming stops lined up, including its own Peach Festival in northeastern Pennsylvania.

The current lineup of the Allman Brothers Band—vocalist Gregg Allman, drummer Butch Trucks, guitarist Jaimoe, and sidemen Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, Oteil Burbridge, and Marc Quinones—has been together for 14 years, longer than any previous iteration of the group.
