The amazing prototype of The Big Lebowski pinball machine abides

Pinball has experienced a relative resurgence in the past few years, with parlors and arcades popping up all over the country. And while most people are perfectly content to knock around on some old Addams Family machine from the ’90s, one group of Dutch developers is kicking things up a notch with a new Big Lebowski machine, which debuted this weekend in Utrecht.

So far, only two prototypes have been made, but man oh man do they look amazing. A whole slew of pics from the game’s unveiling are over on Pinball News, but we’ve inserted some of the best below—including shots of the game’s entire playfield, which features odes to Jesus, Maude’s bra, a White Russian, and the rug that really ties the pinball machine together. It’s truly a thing of beauty, with an entire bowling lane sub-playfield set below the main pinball playfield.
