It seems that, in addition to having bologna in their slacks, the Animaniacs are also in possession of bus tickets. According to a new interview with voice actor Rob Paulsen in The New York Times, the lead actors from that show are reuniting to go on tour. After their triumphant debut on Netflix earlier this month, Yakko (Paulsen), Wakko (Jess Harnell), and Dot (Tress MacNeille) will soon be traveling the country, performing a wide array of the show’s tunes. And yes, of course there’s going to be an updated version of “Yakko’s World” included in the performances. They’re not savages.
Details are light thus far, with Paulsen saying merely that he and his fellow cohorts in combustibility will be backed by a full orchestra, as they were during a 2014 performance with the Colorado Symphony. The A.V. Club will announce it as soon as we hear about tickets going on sale, but for now, we feel relatively confident in saying they won’t be joined onstage by Willie Slackmer—er, William Shatner.
