The Bachelor and Dancing With The Stars are getting spin-offs
Last week, ABC got a head start on its upfronts when it announced it was renewing all three of its big reality TV performers, including The Bachelor and Dancing With The Stars. And now that the alphabet network is in the limelight, it’s unveiled plans for spin-offs for both competition series.
Because love is the “toughest sport of all“—according to ABC, anyway—2018 will see the arrival of The Bachelor Winter Games, which will pit former contestants from The Bachelor and The Bachelorette against each other in an “ode to the Winter Olympic Games.” This latest bout of romantic competition is described as “a chilling new level,” which nonetheless will take place at a luxurious winter resort. You can expect your favorite and least favorite competitors to show up, especially if they’re one and the same. Dancing With The Stars Junior, meanwhile, will pair the children of celebrities with pro-junior ballroom dancers in a pint-sized version of the flagship series. The cast of DWTS Junior, which is set to debut spring 2018, will be announced at a later date.
