The best Cyber Monday deals

Hello, A.V. Club readers! We’ll be keeping this post up to date all week with a handful of the best deals that Cyber Monday has to offer, but if you want to see the rest—and there are a lot of them—head over to our main hub at Lifehacker, which includes every great deal that we’ve found.

Our friends from Kinja Deals are taking over Income Disposal. Commerce Content is independent of Editorial and Advertising, and if you buy something through our posts, The A.V. Club and Gizmodo Media Group may get a small share of the sale. Click here to learn more, and don’t forget to sign up for our email newsletter. We want your feedback.

Amazon Dash Buttons, $1 plus $5 credit on first use. Promo code CYBERDASH. One per customer.

If you’re curious about Amazon Dash buttons, there’s never been a better time to try one out. Today only, you can grab one button of your choice for just $1 each, down from the usual $5 with promo code CYBERDASH. Plus, you’ll still get a $5 Amazon credit the first time you use it, meaning they’re literally paying you to buy household essentials.

Sony MDRXB650BT/B On-Ear Bluetooth Headphones, $68 | Over-Ears, $88

Sony’s $88 Bluetooth over-ear headphones have been among the most popular items of Deals Week, but now, the smaller on-ear version is down to an all-time low $68. Whichever option you prefer, there’s never been a better time to cut the cord.

Kindle Cyber Monday Sale

Every week or so, Amazon will put maybe a couple dozen Kindle books in a single category on sale for a few bucks each. But this isn’t just any day; it’s Cyber Monday! So they’re pulling out all the stops with huge discounts on over 400 titles, running the gamut from memoirs to mystery to self-help, and everything in between.

The full list is a little unwieldy, but you can sort by genre using the sidebar tools on the left side of the page.

Jurassic Park Collection, $20

Shopping for a Jurassic Park fan (yourself) this holiday season? For the first time, all four films—including 2015’s Jurassic World—are down to just $20 in one awesome Blu-ray set.

Vizio 38-inch 5.1 Sound Bar, $212 | Vizio 40-inch 5.1 Sound Bar, $297

Vizio’s 5.1 channel sound bar systems are the simplest way to add surround sound to any home theater setup, and both the 38-inch and 40-inch models are back on sale for Cyber Monday.

We saw better deals over the summer on the 38-inch model, but this is the first significant discount we’ve seen in months. The 40-inch model, in addition to being two inches longer, also includes HDMI audio input and metal accents, and $297 is the lowest it’s been since last Black Friday.

Xbox One S 1TB Battlefield 1 bundle, $255

Amazon’s blown right past the standard $50 Black Friday Xbox One discounts, and marked the 1TB Battlefield 1 bundle down to $255 ($45 less than Black Friday).

DualShock 4, $34 | Xbox One controller, $39 | Xbox Elite controller, $127

PS4 and Xbox One controllers were both marked down to $39 for Black Friday, but they just dropped an additional $5 to $34, the best price we’ve ever seen. In both instances, these are the new models, which means built-in Bluetooth and an improved palm grip on Xbox, and a front-facing light bar and wired gaming support for the DualShock 4.

Update: The Xbox controller is back up to $39

5 Pounds Haribo Gold Bears, $10

Nobody, I repeat, nobody, will be upset to get a five pound bag of Haribo Gold Bears for the holidays. You don’t even have to tell them it only cost you $10.

Also, fear not, these aren’t the sugar free ones that famously do horrible things to you body. Although, that would be a great gift for your enemies.

Amazon Echo, $140 | Amazon Tap, $90 | Amazon Echo Dot, $40

The new Amazon Echo Dot is a brilliant little smart home assistant that you can hide in every corner of your home, and Amazon’s taking $10 off the base price for Black Friday. If you’re struggling to think of a gift idea for anyone on your shopping list, this is sure to be a hit with nearly everyone.

And if you were holding out for the full-sized Amazon Echo, complete with its booming speaker, it’s $40 off again right now, while supplies last.

In addition to being a pretty solid Bluetooth speaker, the Echo can check the weather, turn on your lights, read you the news, trigger custom IFTTT recipes, order food, and—my personal favorite—read you Jeopardy questions like a robotic Alex Trebek.

The battery-powered Amazon Tap is also $40 off, but it doesn’t feature the always-on microphone of its plugged-in siblings. So unless you really want to take Alexa on the road, you should probably skip it and get one of the other two.

$10 off any $25 physical book order, promo code HOLIDAYBOOK

Category-wide sales on Amazon are few and far between, and this is one of the most wide-ranging discounts they’ve ever offered: Promo code HOLIDAYBOOK will take $10 off any $25 physical book order, shipped and sold by Amazon directly.

Unfortunately, this deal excludes Kindle titles and audiobooks, but if there are any commemorative coffee table-type books or collector’s editions that you’ve been eyeing, this is likely to be the best deal you’ll see this holiday season. Just choose carefully; you can only use the code once per account.

We’ve collected a few suggestions to get you started, but again, this works on any physical book Amazon sells, so you shouldn’t have any trouble finding a use for it. Let us know in the comments what you got!

SONOS PLAY:1, $149

SONOS speakers go on sale maybe a couple times per year, but even then, a full 25% discount on the PLAY:1 is unheard of. The PLAY:1 is the smallest member of the SONOS family, but it still sounds fantastic, and you can even link two of them together as a stereo pair.

Remember, these deals are just the tip of the Black Friday iceberg, so head over to Lifehacker to see the rest!
