We knew the 2020 Primetime Emmy Awards were going to be different, with celebrities basically Zooming into the show from all over the globe on Sunday. Telecast producers anticipated designer pajamas and outlandish at-home moments, and it’s fair to say their expectations were exceeded. It all puts The A.V. Club’s Emmys uniform of laundry-day knockarounds to shame.

Here are some of the best moments and fashions from the 72nd annual Emmys.

If you’re looking for a list of the winners or our liveblog commentary, we have that too.

The trophy presenters

Cavalcade Of Stars

Jennifer Aniston and Jimmy Kimmel

…realizing they didn’t actually put the fire out the first time and it’s not TV magic and they may burn the Staples Center down.

Catherine O’Hara

Eugene Levy

(and Dan Levy in a kilt, because of course.)

Tracee Ellis Ross

Jimmy Kimmel and Anthony Carrigan

Maybe combining all our 2020 elections fears in one entity, Anthony Carrigan channeled his Russian Barry character impersonating a mail carrier.

Zendaya

Annie Murphy

(And Dan Levy freaking out)

Alex Borstein

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel actress lost to Annie Murphy, but she won the nominee cam.

David Letterman

Gabrielle Union

Gabrielle Union apparently stopped on her way to the shower to stump for Insecure during the announcement of the nominees for Outstanding Comedy Series.

John Oliver

The Outstanding Variety Talk Series winner was awarded with a Jack-in-the-box surprise. What do you think the rest of the nominees will do with their empty boxes they now have?

Regina King

Reminder: It’s been 188 since Breonna Taylor was murdered.

Mark Ruffalo wins

Something tells us we wouldn’t have gotten that reaction from Mark Ruffalo’s wife, Sunrise Coigney, if they’d been in an arena surrounded by other people when he won Outstanding Lead Actor In A Movie. Maybe this remote ceremony is a good thing.

Randall Park and Isabelle the alpaca

“‘You’re presenting with an alpaca’ looks a lot like ‘You’re presenting with Al Pacino.’”

Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington

The Little Fires Everywhere crowd decided to give up on 2020.

Tatiana Maslany

During a video package of how celebs have been spending their quarantine, the Perry Mason star joked that she’s been making wine at home…and that it’s not good.

Mindy Kaling’s cross stitch

Same.

Bob Newhart

It’s always good to see Bob. 91, y’all.

David Spade as Joe Exotic

Take that, Nic Cage.

Tracey Ullman…we mean Morgan

The Oustanding Supporting Actress In A Limited Series or Movie nominees—with Tracy Morgan standing in for Tracey Ullman. “Us Trac(e)ys have to stick together,” he explained. Now we want to see Ullman do a 30 Rock reboot.

Cynthia Erivo

H.E.R.’s In Memoriam

Friends reunion

RuPaul Charles

The Jack-in-the-box bit worked even better when RuPaul Charles accepted the Outstanding Reality-Competition Program award.

Oprah Winfrey

Jeremy Strong

Billy Porter

Zendaya, part two

Laverne Cox

Julia Garner shocked

Yara Shahidi

Sterling K. Brown
